Kutz for Kids is another community outreach program that gives children the opportunity to receive free haircuts and school supplies every year in August, right before school starts. The event takes place every year at the Round Rock Police Department and is conducted by approximately 50 full-time employees.  These employees volunteer for one full day per year for this activity.  It is a joint operation between the 501 (c) 3 organization of the same name and the Round Rock Police Department.  The program emphasizes positive interaction and community development. The Round Rock Police Foundation serves to assist with raising the funds needed to provide the supplemental equipment and resources used by the volunteers, participants, and officers participating in these programs
